Common questions

Do I need prior kayaking experience?
Not at all. Our sunrise tours are designed for all skill levels including complete beginners. We provide a brief paddle technique session before departure, and our guides are always nearby. The backwater channels are calm and sheltered — nothing like open sea kayaking.
What should I bring?
Light, quick-dry clothing, sunscreen, a hat, and a water bottle. We provide dry bags for your phone and valuables. Avoid wearing flip-flops — sandals with a heel strap or water shoes work best. Leave the heavy luggage at your accommodation.
How do I get to the meeting point?
We operate from Thathampally, Alleppey (Alappuzha), which is a 5–8 minute auto or cab ride from the main Alleppey town centre. We send you a precise WhatsApp location pin after booking confirmation. We also offer pickup from select hotels for group bookings.
What if it rains?
Light drizzle is honestly beautiful on the backwaters and tours proceed normally. In case of heavy rain or unsafe conditions, we'll reschedule your tour to the next available slot, or offer a full refund. Kerala's monsoon season (June–August) requires more flexibility, but also produces the most dramatic landscapes.
Can I book for a large group or private tour?
Absolutely. We accommodate groups up to 20 people with multiple kayaks and guides. We also offer fully private charter tours — perfect for families, couples, or corporate outings. Just mention your group size when messaging us and we'll create a custom package.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations made 48+ hours before the tour receive a full refund. Cancellations within 24–48 hours receive 50% back. Last-minute cancellations (under 24 hours) are non-refundable, but we'll happily reschedule once at no charge if you let us know in advance.
